Co-ordinator: Teaching and Learning Services

We invite applications from qualified candidatesfor a newly created permanent post in UCT Libraries. The successful candidatewill co-ordinate and manage library services which are focused on undergraduateteaching and learning and will give direction to and manage the marketing oflibrary resources and services.
Requirements include:
· University degree in library and informationstudies
· 8 years in user services areas of a universitylibrary
· 4 years in a management role in university librarypublic services
· Significant experience in marketing universitylibrary services
· Experience in coordinating and supervising libraryinstruction in a large academic library
· Significant experience in support of focused andtargeted undergraduate services
· Evidence of development and management ofinnovative undergraduate services
· Experience in developing services aligned tocurrent technologies and understanding of international best practice inlearning technologies
This post involves some evening and weekend work.
Responsibilities include:
· Management and co-ordination of library servicestargeted at undergraduates
· Co-ordination of library instruction
· Liaison with the Centre for Higher EducationDevelopment at UCT
· Management and coordination of the library marketingfunctions
The annualremuneration package, including benefits, is negotiable between R344 130 and R404849.
