LIASA Gauteng South Branch Higher Education Library Interest Group cordially invites you to the first Knowledge sharing, Net-working and Business Meeting for 2011.

 

When: Tuesday 14 June 2011

 

Where: University of Johannesburg Library and Information Centre, Doornfontein Campus, Leslie Boyd Building, GO 4 Conference Centre

 

Knowledge sharing Topic:

How can Higher Education Libraries remain relevant as place in the face of mobile technologies, mobile learning, and challenges posed by the social media? Come and share your experiences in how you remain a valuable asset to your institution, or how your library repositioned its services using Skype, blogging, Twitter, portals, Facebook, and mobile technology to accommodate new generation clients learning and still stay relevant to 'other' generational clients and their learning needs.

 

Networking: Bring your business cards and come and network with your LIASA colleagues.

Business Meeting: All HELIG Gauteng South Branch members are requested to attend this meeting as we would like to elect our committee members for HELIG: Gauteng South.)

 

Fee: All paid up LIASA members R25.00; Non LIASA members R35.00
