Dear Colleague

 

Wikimedia in collaboration with ITOCA is organising a two day workshop aimed at increasing awareness of Wikipedia and its core principles, encouraging students to use Wikipedia efficiently and well, and attracting new contributors. The workshop will run from 29 – 30 October 2012.

Selected participants from academic and research institutions, NGOs and community libraries will be trained in a train-the-trainer two-day workshop on Wikipedia, at ITOCA in Centurion, South Africa. This course is supported and funded by the WIKIMEDIA Foundation and run by ITOCA. The sponsorship for successful applicants/ will cover the cost of registration, accommodation, light refreshments, lunches and dinners for each participant.
